Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a damping force generating device that damps vertical vibration and vibration in the roll direction. SOLUTION: The damping force generating device is configured as follows. A first viscous coupling 22 generates a damping force through the relative rotation of a first housing 30 and a left shaft 12L. A second viscous coupling 24 generates a damping force through the relative rotation of a second housing 36 fixed to a vehicle body and an air core 50 rotating in conjunction with the first housing 30. A transmission mechanism transmits the rotation of the left shaft 12L and that of a right shaft 12R to the first housing 30.
