WEED-PREVENTIVE MAT, MANUFACTURING METHOD OF THE SAME, AND WEED-PREVENTIVE AND GREENING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weed-preventive mat capable of simplifying fixation work to an installation surface, reliably preventing weeds, and achieving greening without spoiling aesthetic appearance thereafter. SOLUTION: The mat 10 is formed by mixing bamboo fibers made of a fibrous bamboo material 20 with synthetic fibers. Through holes 11 are bored through the front and back of the mat 10 at prescribed intervals from one another. Root parts 13 of greening plants 12 are planted in the through holes 11. Since it is sufficient to perform fixation by fixing pins 15 only in an extremely short period between the laying of the mat 10 and the taking root of the greening plants 12 in order to make the greening plants 12 planted in the through holes 11 take root in the installation surface 16 and the mat 10 settle in the installation surface 16 when the mat 10 is laid on the installation surface 16 such as a ground surface to prevent weeds, it is possible to substantially reduce the number of the fixing pins 15 and to substantially reduce pinning work.
