PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sock regarding the opening of the regular-sized sock put on a part ranging from an ankle to a shank or about the middle of a calf, which has favorable wear feeling and is prevented from sliding down particularly in vigorous actions when doing sports. SOLUTION: The sock is a regular-sized one knitted with a knitting machine using a single cylinder. The sock has a foot part and a leg part, and is such a type of sock as to have the opening by folding back and doubly overlapping the upper end of the leg part. The part, where the upper end of the leg part is doubly overlapped, is knitted with only face yarns and elastic yarns, while the leg part other than the doubly-overlapped part is knitted with the face yarns, back yarns and elastic yarns.
