LOCK DEVICE FOR SEAT BACK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lock device for a seat back, configured to permit assembling error of the seat back without increase in a width of an inserting groove of a locking mechanism, and to secure the strength of an engagement rod-like section of a striker. SOLUTION: The lock device 25 for the seat back includes the locking mechanism 111 for fixing the seat back 16 provided on a seat cushion in a tiltable manner (in direction of arrow a1) to a vehicle body member (rear body 37). The locking mechanism 111 includes the striker 112 provided on the vehicle body member (rear body 37), the inserting groove 105 to which the engagement rod-like section 113 of the striker 112 is inserted, and a hook 106 engaged with the engagement rod-like section 113. The engagement rod-like section 113 is formed to be flat with a long side section 114 disposed along a cutout part 115 which the insert groove 105 faces, and a short side part 116 is turned to the inserting direction (direction of arrow a6).
