STEREO IMAGE PHOTOGRAPHING DEVICE, AND METHOD THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stereo image photographing device for appropriately setting an overlapping area of a last photography image and a current photography image. SOLUTION: The stereo image photographing device 1 for successively photographing an object 2 to be measured with a single camera while overlapping includes: a photography portion 3 for acquiring a live image of the object 2 to be measured at any time as the camera changes its position, timely photographing the object 2 to be measured, and acquiring a picked up image of a still image; an overlapping area setting portion 6 for setting an overlapping area to the previous photography image to be a photography image previously photographed by the photography portion 3, with the live image; and a display portion 4 for displaying the previous photography image and the live image by overlapping them in the overlapping area set by an overlapping area setting portion 6, extending the previous photography image to the opposite side to the moving direction of the photography portion 3 from the overlapping area and displaying it, and extending the live image to the same side as the moving direction of the photography portion 3 from the overlapping area and displaying it.
