Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discharge lamp of high intensity by making bulb surface less likely to be damaged. SOLUTION: The discharge lamp includes a glass bulb 1 and an electrode 3 installed in the glass bulb 1, while a lubrication layer 4 is formed on the surface of the glass bulb 1. It is preferable that the lubrication layer 4 be formed containing at least one material selected from among silicone, silicone oil, boron nitride, or a surfactant.
