CONTEXT ANALYSIS DEVICE AND CONTEXT ANALYSIS PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a context analysis device and a context analysis program, allowing representation of an observed situation by primitive contexts. SOLUTION: In this context analysis device analyzing the situation by use of an observation vector acquired by a plurality of sensors, it is assumed that the observation vector is represented by a weighted linear sum of the plurality of primitive contexts that are a plurality of statistically independent components. The context analysis device performs calculation of weights and extraction of a primitive context set under conditions that all values of the sensors are non-negative and that all the weights of the primitive contexts are non-negative by overcomplete system independent component analysis wherein it is assumed that the number of the sensors is smaller than the number of the primitive contexts, and includes a primitive context analyzer 101 extracting a plurality of candidates of the primitive context set to a plurality of preset sparse degrees.
