IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS AND TRANSFER METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clear printed matter of high resolution by radiating discharging light just before transfer, removing negative charge of a non-exposure section remaining on a photoreceptor after exposure, and preventing distortion of a toner image transferred from the photoreceptor on printing paper. SOLUTION: A paper guide 14 for guiding the printing paper P conveyed to a transfer position is disposed separately at the transfer position on the upstream side of the transfer position so that an adhesion region R through which the printing paper P passes while sticking is formed in a predetermined region on the upstream side from the transfer position on the surface of a photosensitive drum 11. A discharging light source 13 for radiating uniform light to the printing paper P passing through the adhesion region R of the photosensitive drum 11 is disposed between the transfer position and the paper guide 14.
