Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical filter removing high order trapped mode of guided light without using microfabrication shorter than the wavelength of guided light. SOLUTION: Optical waveguides F11, F12 are alternately arranged on a substrate 10 and are connected so that a coupling efficiency to a basic trapped mode becomes higher than the coupling efficiency to high order trapped mode or to the linear combination of the high order trapped mode.
