Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device for a vehicle including a liquid crystal panel and a circuit board connected to the panel, in which a shield chassis enclosing the circuit board is structured while avoiding an excessive increase in the scale, complication of the structure and difficulty in an assembling work. SOLUTION: The display device for the vehicle includes: a liquid crystal panel 10 having a liquid crystal display unit 18 and a metal frame 20; circuit boards 11, 12 disposed on the backside of the panel; a casing 14 open to the liquid crystal panel 10 and storing the circuit boards 11, 12; and a connecting member connecting the liquid crystal panel 10 and the casing 14 with a panel holder 16 and the like. At least an opening rim 21a of the casing 14 includes a body wall made of a synthetic resin and a conductive layer covering the surface of the wall to constitute a shielding layer. The connecting member presses the conductive layer at the end face of the opening rim 21a to be in pressure contact with the backside of the metal frame 20 of the liquid crystal panel 10 over the entire circumference, and thereby the shield layer of the casing 14 and the metal frame 20 constitute a continuous shield chassis.
