WINDOW OPENING/CLOSING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a window opening/closing device which makes a window screen opened/closed by turning a foldable handle, which enables the handle to be folded to be inconspicuous from the outside, and which prevents the handle from being folded during a turning operation; and to provide a window using the window opening/closing device. SOLUTION: The handle 4 is constituted in a horizontally long shape in such a manner as to be foldable in parallel along a device body 1 formed in a horizontally long shape. The handle 4 is foldably connected to a socket 5; and a base is provided with an engaging portion 21. The socket is attached to a rotating shaft 6; and an abutting portion 22 is formed around the rotating shaft so that the engaging portion can abut thereon when the handle in a rising stage is turned in a folding direction. In a position in which the handle is parallel to the device body, a nonabutting portion 23 is provided so that the abutting portion and the engaging portion can be disengaged from each other. During the turning of the handle, the handle cannot be folded because the engaging portion abuts on the abutting portion.
