SIDE AIRBAG DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a side airbag device making airbag deployment behavior more similar to deployment behavior when different reinforcing fabrics are arranged at each reinforcing portion. SOLUTION: In the airbag 40, a pair of body fabric portions 44 overlapped with each other in the vehicle width direction are connected together at their peripheral edges. An inflator 31 in the airbag 40 blows off gas G for inflation from a gas ejection part 33, thereby inflates and deploy the airbag 40 frontward between an occupant P and a body side section. A pair of reinforcing fabric portions 58 of a third reinforcing fabric 55 are extended from the rear portion of the body fabric portions 44 located outside them, and extended ahead of a midportion C in the back-and-forth direction of the body fabric portions 44. Front end portions of both reinforcing fabric portions 58 are connected (sewed together) to both body fabric portions 44 by a front connection portion 66. In a reinforcing fabric portion 58 located outside the vehicle, a slot 67 is disposed at a location between a rear end 58R of the reinforcing fabric portion and the front connection portion 66.
