APPARATUS FOR TREATING GARBAGE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for treating garbage which prevents malodor from being generated in a kitchen. SOLUTION: The apparatus for treating garbage includes a throw-in passage 8 communicating with a garbage throw-in opening 4 and installed at its lower part, a garbage treating chamber 9 installed below the throw-in passage 8 and reducing the amount of garbage, a condensing and deodorizing device 27 communicating with the garbage treating chamber 9 through a circulating route 28, a suction duct 59 installed in the surrounding of the throw-in passage 8 and communicating with the garbage throw-in opening 4, a suction means 63 communicating with the suction duct 59, a hybrid deodorant 64 installed between the suction means 63 and the suction duct 59, and a throw-in opening cover 7 opening or closing the garbage throw-in opening 4. When the throw-in opening cover 7 is opened or closed, the suction means 63 is operated, and steam and malodor generated from garbage are absorbed by the condensing and deodorizing device 27. Then when the throw-in opening cover 7 is opened for throwing in garbage, steam and garbage in the throw-in passage 8 together with the air in the surrounding are sucked and are adsorbed to the hybrid deodorant 64 from the suction duct 59, thereby preventing malodor from being generated in the kitchen.
