WASTEWATER TREATMENT APPARATUS AND WASTEWATER TREATMENT METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wastewater treatment apparatus and a wastewater treatment method, which attain high decomposition performance of organic material in wastewater without performing post treatment. SOLUTION: The first wastewater treatment apparatus 10A is a wastewater treatment apparatus for decomposing organic material 12 in wastewater 11, and includes: a water storage tank 13 for storing the wastewater 11; a plurality of TiO2coating glass fibers 16 which are disposed so as to hang down to the lower end surface 13a side of the water storage tank 13 and of which the surfaces is coated with TiO2layers decomposing the organic material 12; and a water receiving part 18 for collecting treated water 17 in which the organic material 12 in the wastewater 11 is decomposed with the TiO2coating glass fibers 16. The TiO2coating glass fibers 16 are disposed so as to hang down to the lower end surface 13a side of the water storage tank 13, are arranged so as not to come in contact with each other and are irradiated with light 22 and, thereby, the organic material 12 in the wastewater 11 flowing down along outer walls of the TiO2coating glass fibers 16 can be decomposed.
