Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical element module capable of reducing an influence of thermal stress in a chassis constituting the optical element module on an optical element housed in the chassis. SOLUTION: The optical element module includes an optical element 3 using a substrate having an electro-optical effect where the chassis constituting the module is composed of a body 1 and a lid 2 and has a groove 11 formed by reducing the thickness of a sidewall at a position on the sidewall of the body and away from the joining position of the body and the lid.
