In this apparatus, with the conveying front side of the articles P held on the support member 26 of a stabilizer 25 that moves integrally with the endless rotary belt 15, the support member 26 is advanced to the upper part of the branching conveyor and also rotated in the direction reverse to the conveying direction of the bucket 6. As a result, rolling of the articles P is prevented by receiving with the support member 26 the inertia of the articles P that are discharged from the endless rotary belt 6.
