Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article sorting apparatus capable of discharging, from a carrying conveyor to a branching conveyor, articles such as agricultural produce without rolling it. SOLUTION: In the article sorting apparatus, articles (agricultural produce) P placed on an endless rotary belt 15 are discharged to the branching conveyor, by moving toward the branching conveyor side the endless rotary belt 15 of a discharging mechanism 11 installed in the bucket 6 of a bucket conveyor. In this apparatus, with the conveying front side of the articles P held on the support member 26 of a stabilizer 25 that moves integrally with the endless rotary belt 15, the support member 26 is advanced to the upper part of the branching conveyor and also rotated in the direction reverse to the conveying direction of the bucket 6. As a result, rolling of the articles P is prevented by receiving with the support member 26 the inertia of the articles P that are discharged from the endless rotary belt 6.
