METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR REPAIRING CAB TIRE CABLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for correctly repairing a disconnection portion of a cab tire cable, in a time shorter than that for conventional techniques, moreover, while equalizing the length of each of conductors. SOLUTION: A disconnected portion of a cab tire cable is placed on a long flat pedestal 11 to expose conductors 1, both sides of the disconnected portion are clamped with a tension device 12 on both ends of the pedestal 11, and tension stress is applied to keep the cab tire cable in a straight state. The disconnected conductor 1 is connected in this state, a vulcanizing case is placed on the disconnected portion and a vulcanizing agent is injected to harden the disconnected portion. In this way, a rubber-made sheath 4, as well as, the conductors 1 can be repaired, thereby eliminating accidents and the repaired part becomes disconnected again. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
