PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide communication equipment including a plurality of transmitters which suppresses reduction in communication efficiency even if a fault occurs in any one of the plurality of transmitters included in the communication equipment. SOLUTION: The communication equipment 2 includes: a plurality of transmitting sections 24-1 to 24-4 each for transmitting a signal stream from a separate antenna; a scheduling section 27 which, when the number of simultaneously-receivable receiving sections included in feedback information fed back from a receiving apparatus 3 is more than the number of transmittable transmitting sections, sets the number of output representing the number of transmitting section actually transmitting the signal stream to be less than or equal to the number of transmittable transmitting sections and which determines, as a precoding matrix, a combination of the transmitting sections, as many as the output number, to which any signal stream is input; a codeword generating section 21 for generating the predetermined number of codewords to be simultaneously transmitted form data to be transmitted; encoding sections 22-1, 22-2 for generating signal streams as many as the output number from the codewords; and a modulating section 23 for outputting each signal stream to the corresponding transmitting section in accordance with the precoding matrix.
