DATABASE MANAGEMENT METHOD, DISTRIBUTED DATABASE SYSTEM, AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for reducing a processing time in the table equal coupling processing of a distributed database system configured of three or more database devices. SOLUTION: When performing table equal coupling processing among database devices 10A, 10B and 10C, N (three in Fig.1) pieces of object column values of the coupling object column of a table A1 are transmitted from the database device 10A to the database devices 10B and 10C (step (b)). Then, the database devices 10B and 10C execute sort merge coupling processing by using the received object column values and its own table, and when there exists equal column values, add 1, and when there does not exist any equal column value, add 0, and generates a determination bit column, and transmits the determination bit column to the database device 10A. The database device 10A performs the AND arithmetic operation of the received determination bit column, and calculates the column value which is common to all the tables. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
