Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly increase a temperature of a heated object (5) by starting an exhaust heat recovery device into a state that heat recovery can be efficiently performed by a heat receiving section 21 in an initial period, and then transferring the state to a state that a heat exchanging capacity of a heat radiating section 22 and a heated object (5) is improved, in the exhaust heat recovery device 20 having a loop-type heat pipe structure including the heat receiving section 21 disposed in an exhaust passage (4) of an internal combustion engine 1 and evaporating fluid inside by exhaust heat, and a radiating section 22 receiving the fluid evaporated at the heat receiving section 21 to exchange heat between the fluid and the heated object (5). SOLUTION: The radiating section 22 has a case 22a disposed in a state of surrounding the heated object (5). The radiating section 22 is provided with regulating mechanisms (36-38) for regulating heat exchanging capacities to the heated object (5) by changing a volume of an internal space of the case 22a.
