CONTROL DEVICE OF CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device of a continuously variable transmission for surely performing a down-shift by suppressing oil flow rate consumption in abrupt deceleration. SOLUTION: The control device 200 controls the continuously variable transmission 1 including a shift mechanism 10 having an input pulley 11 and an output pulley 12, a lockup clutch for directly coupling an input/output part of a torque converter, a slip control valve 103 for controlling a constraint force by adjusting the control hydraulic pressure of the lockup clutch, a switching valve 105 for switching the supply-cutoff of the control hydraulic pressure to the lockup clutch and a shift control valve 102 for performing shift operation by adjusting the control hydraulic pressure of the shift mechanism, and includes a deceleration detecting means 201 for detecting the deceleration of a vehicle, and is constituted for cutting off the switching valve after gradually changing the lockup clutch to an opening state from a lockup state by controlling the slip control valve when decelerating the vehicle, and accelerating a transfer speed to the opening state from the lockup state according to an increase of speed deceleration.
