Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power transmission device for hybrid vehicles which can interrupt the transmission of a driving force from a motive power synthesizing mechanism to an output shaft by making an engine and the motive power synthesizing mechanism not directly connected. SOLUTION: The power transmission device 1 includes: main input shafts 11, 12, which are selectively connected to the engine 2 and has the same shaft center: gears 17a, 17b, which are selectively connected to a first main input shaft 11; a third main input shaft 15 parallel to the first main input shaft 11; gears 18a, 18b, which are selectively connected to the third main input shaft 15; a gear 20a, which is selectively connected to an output shaft 19 by an output synchronizing clutch SO and engages with the gears 17a, 18a: a gear 19a, which is fixed with the output shaft 19 and engages with the gears 17b, 18b; and the motive power synthesizing mechanism 9, which structures a sun gear 9s connected to the first main input shaft 11, a ring gear 9r connected to an electric motor 3, and a carrier 9c connected to the gear 17a to be mutually rotatable differentially and transmits the synthesized power to the output shaft 19 via the carrier 9c.
