SURFACE-HITTING MATERIAL FOR CULTURAL PROPERTY AND RESTORATION METHOD FOR CULTURAL PROPERTY USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface-hitting material used for restoring a wall painting and the like without damaging it and a method of restoring the wall painting and the like, as well. SOLUTION: The surface-hitting material used for the restoration or preservation of the wall painting with an imaging plaster layer mounted on a stone wall includes transparent plastic films layered via adhesive layers and is sufficiently strong enough not to cause any damage to the imaging plaster layer when the imaging plaster layer is peeled from the stone wall and is flexible enough not to break even when each transparent plastic film is curved at a curvature of a 1 mm radius. The adhesive layer in between each transparent plastic film and the adhesive layer between the surface-hitting material and the imaging plaster layer comprise a cellulose derivative or gloiopeltis. The transparent plastic films are peeled, sheet by sheet, through the use of a solvent which does not dissolve the transparent plastic film even though it dissolves the adhesive layer, so as not to cause any damage to the imaging plaster layer.
