APPARATUS FOR EVALUATING TRAIN TIMETABLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus which, when a train timetable has been disrupted, permits a user to evaluate an appropriate transportation capacity based on a transportation demand and the train timetable such that the user can carry out the evaluation in an understandable manner and more appropriately. SOLUTION: A railway section (starting station and arrival station) is plotted on the vertical axis of the timetable, while a time zone is plotted on the horizontal axis. The timetable is divided into numerous areas by plural stations and given time zones. For each area, the transportation capacity is evaluated from the transportation demand and the number of trains. Display is provided using colors according to the evaluations such that the background of each area is given a separate color. Thus, the timetable is displayed in an understandable manner.
