Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing mode, which improves the printing quality of a leading edge, a trailing edge and a text. SOLUTION: In the method for executing an incremental printing with an inkjet swath printer by depositing a large number of ink droplets from a printing head onto respective lines of an image at every scanning passage of the printing head above a printing medium, the method includes: the step of obtaining the image; the step of determining which ink droplets fix up the trailing edge 104 in each line of image elements with respect to a scanning direction 110 by analyzing the image; the step of removing at least one droplet lying before a droplet 108 to fix up the trailing edge 104 in each line; and the step of depositing residual ink droplets on to the medium during the passage of the printing head above the medium towards the scanning direction 110.
