RETRANSMISSION SYSTEM, AND RECEPTION DEVICE AND TRANSMISSION DEVICE FOR THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow terrestrial digital broadcasting to be continued with a small-capacity battery in spite of a power failure. SOLUTION: In a retransmission system wherein a reception device 2 is connected to a transmission device 4 via optical connection line equipment 5, the reception device 2 receives a terrestrial digital television broadcast signal of one wave by a reception antenna 6 and amplifies the received signal by a reception-side single channel broadcasting signal processing unit 12-1, and a reception-side power source section 18 supplies an operation power to the reception-side single channel broadcasting signal processing unit 12-1 when a commercial power is not supplied. An output signal of the reception-side single channel broadcasting signal processing unit 12-1 is supplied to the transmission device 4 via optical connection line equipment 5 when the commercial power is not supplied. The transmission device 4 processes the terrestrial digital television broadcast signal of the one wave transmitted via the optical connection line equipment 5 during non-supply of the commercial power, by a transmission-side single channel processing unit 40 and supplies the processed signal to a transmission antenna 58. A transmission-side power source section 60 supplies an operating power to the transmission-side single channel processing unit 40 when the commercial power is not supplied.
