Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce such an error that processing performed to a card on a card conveying path is performed to a card held over by a user even if an IC reader/writer is provided so as to be capable of communicating with the card on the card conveying path and the card held over by the user. SOLUTION: The IC reader/writer detects the presence or absence of the card in a communication range of the IC reader/writer and determines whether the card on the card conveying path is in a first communication section. The IC reader/writer discriminates whether the detected card is on the card conveying path or held over by the user according to the result, and performs processing according to the discriminated card.
