PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate a folding operation for an opening preventive tool 5, when leg-closing leg bodies 2 from a leg-opened state, in a step-ladder having the pair of openable and closable leg bodies 2 with an upper part pivotally connected, and the opening preventive tool 5 for regulating the leg opening of required angle or more in the both leg bodies 2. SOLUTION: This opening preventive tool 5 includes arms 15 with a base 20 pivoted to each leg body 2, and a link 16 connected to tips 21 of the both arms 15 and for regulating the downward turning of the arm 15 from a substantially linear state, and arm turning regulating means 17 are provided in connection portions between the respective arms 15 and the link 16, to regulate the outward turning of the leg body 2, so that each arm 15 limits the bent angle of the arm 15 with respect to the link 16 when leg is closed.
