Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide specifically an extremely effective method for cultivating plants, contributing to a yield increase per unit area while obtaining disease and insect damage preventing effect and inner material deterioration preventing effect in an agricultural greenhouse using solar light, and having high effect especially in light supplement cultivation, low step dense planting cultivation for tomato, and shading material using cultivation for strawberry. SOLUTION: This method for cultivating plants includes irradiating light having visible light element as the main element with a semiconductor luminescent device as a light source, to cultivated plants in a greenhouse using solar light. When using especially a covering material with penetration characteristics of a specific wavelength and irradiating light of above a specific irradiation quantity by a specific cultivation method, the method achieves extremely high-level disease and insect damage preventing effect and inner material deterioration preventing effect while considering influences to cultivation properties, and contributes to a yield increase per unit area.
