PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hard disk drive restoration system for surely restoring a computer device to a state just before occurrence of a failure. SOLUTION: Configuration information of software installed in a maintenance object device 10 (computer device) as the object of maintenance and setting information to the maintenance object device 10 are transferred through a network 100 to a software management system 40 and a setting information management system 50 for storage in every predetermined cycle or each time it is changed, and when a retrieval operation is input from a maintenance operator, an operation instruction terminal 20 acquires the latest software configuration information of the maintenance object device 10 just before the occurrence of a failure and acquisition destination information of the image file of the software and the latest setting information of the maintenance object device 10 from the software management system 40 and the setting information management system 50, and creates data for restoration to the maintenance object device 10, and outputs the data for restoration for display, and presents the data to the maintenance operator.
