Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform proper drying and thermal decomposition by grasping drying and thermal decomposition states of wastes on the basis of an in-furnace gas component concentration in a fire grate section in which drying and thermal decomposition are performed, in waste melting treatment in which the drying and thermal decomposition of the wastes is performed separately from burning and melting. SOLUTION: In this waste melting treatment method by connecting a drying shaft 1 for drying the waste, and a fire grate section 2 thermally decomposing the waste dried by the drying shaft and generating a thermal decomposition residue to an upper section of a melting furnace 6, drying and thermally decomposing the waste by allowing gases generated in the fire grate section 2 and the melting furnace 6 to pass through a waste-charged layer formed in the drying shaft to generate the thermal decomposition residue, and supplying the generated thermal decomposition residue to the melting furnace 6 to burn and melt it, drying and thermal decomposition states are grasped by analyzing an in-furnace gas component concentration in the fire grate section 2, and a CO concentration and an O2concentration to achieve the optimum drying and thermal decomposition states are adjusted on the basis of the grasped thermal decomposition state.
