Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a porous carbon fiber by utilization of starch which is an environment-compatible and low cost natural polymer. SOLUTION: The method for producing a porous carbon fiber includes: a step for processing the starch to produce a gelled starch solution; a step for adding an organic acid to the starch solution to produce the organic acid-added starch solution; a step for dissolving carbon nanotube in a solvent and then adding a fiber-forming polymer to produce a carbon nanotube/fiber-forming-polymer containing solution; a step for further mixing the carbon nanotube/fiber-forming-polymer containing solution with the starch solution to produce the carbon nanotube/starch/fiber-forming-polymer containing solution; a step for producing a starch-composite fiber from the carbon nanotube/starch/fiber-forming-polymer containing solution by an electric spinning method or a wet spinning method; and a step for subjecting the starch composite fiber to oxidizing heat treatment and then further to a carbonization treatment and to a vacuum thermal treatment.
