SOLUTION: The membrane separation type activated sludge treatment apparatus is an out-of-tank type or an in-tank type, and the separation member is the separation membrane of a porous body made of a tetrafluoroethylene resin. The apparatus includes a heater for circulating and heating treatment water filtered by the separation membrane, and an automatic washing device for supplying the heated treatment water heated in the heater to the separation membrane as washing water.
