SOLUTION: The subject monitoring device for monitoring a subject mounted on the top plate of the bed of the magnetic resonance imaging apparatus includes an optical fiber bundle 1, an arm 2 for supporting the distal end part of the optical fiber bundle from the top plate 5, and a video camera 11 optically connected to the rear end of the optical fiber bundle and disposed inside the body 10 of the bed.
