SEAT RECLINING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely stop a back-side bracket at a temporarily stopping position. SOLUTION: In the seat reclining device, the back-side bracket 2 is turnable via an operation shaft 3 relative to a cushion-side bracket 1. The seat reclining device has a recliner 23 which allows the back-side bracket 2 to be locked with the cushion-side bracket 1 at a seating possible position and at a table position but prohibits the back-side bracket from being locked at the temporarily stopping position. The seat reclining device also has a tilting spring for tilting the back-side bracket 2 forward and a return spring for tilting the bracket backward, and a temporary stopper 13 for stopping the back-side bracket 2 at the temporarily stopping position when the back-side bracket 2 is tilted forward. The temporary stopper is mounted in the cushion-side bracket 1 in such a way as turnable toward an engagement position to be engaged with an engagement portion 2b of the back-side bracket 2. A temporary stopping lever 10 for releasing the lock of the recliner by turning the operation shaft 3 is also mounted in the cushion-side bracket 1.
