Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suction line heat exchanger operated in a vapor compression cycle for cooling a refrigerant. SOLUTION: The SLHEX (suction line heat exchanger) 10 includes a heat exchanger core part 21 constituted of a plurality of plates 22, 23. The first and second plates are inserted to each other and stacked. The outer peripheral part of each first plate 22 includes a continuous flange 51, and the outer peripheral part of each second plate 23 includes a continuous flange 50. The respective flanges 50, 51 partially nest the respective first and second plates 22, 23 inside the respective adjacent plates to form sealed peripheral parts, and the seal is formed by jointing the respective plates to each other by brazing etc. The peripheral parts of the flanges are formed to have a dimension shape capable of producing a plurality of first spaces 24 and a plurality of second spaces 25 between the adjacent plates by nesting the respective first and second plates 22, 23 inside each other by certain amount before the flanges 50, 51 of the respective plates are completely engaged.
