Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling device of a simple structure, preventing growth of hard scales due to contact of a scale binder included in exhaust gas to an inner wall including a gap area or the like not having a blow opening, preventing growth of hard scales even if an exhaust gas flow is unevenly distributed near an inner wall, and not increasing in size more than necessary. SOLUTION: In the cooling device carrying out cooling while circulating high temperature gas generated in an incinerator or a melting furnace in a duct 1, a swirl nozzle 11 generating a swirl flow of cooling air around a central axis by blowing in the cooling air along the inner wall in a circumferential direction of the duct, and an orthogonal nozzle 12 blowing in the cooling air in an orthogonal direction with respect to a communicating direction of the exhaust gas in a downstream side of the communicating direction of the exhaust gas than the swirl nozzle are provided in the duct.
