Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively separate lead contained in a residue produced in a hydrometallurgy of zinc from silica. SOLUTION: A treatment method is a method for treating the residue in the hydrometallurgy of zinc by adding water to the residue produced in the hydrometallurgy of zinc to convert the residue into a pulp, and subsequently by conducting the first centrifugation treatment, the second centrifugation treatment, neutralization treatment and coagulating sedimentation treatment. The method includes: supplying the pulp to the first centrifuge separator so that a supply flow amount/Σ can be 40,000-90,000 m3/m2h, and separating the pulp into a raw material for lead refinement, in which a ratio of Pb/SiO2is 2 or more, and a first separated solution, in the first centrifugation treatment; supplying the first separated solution to the second centrifuge separator so that a supply flow amount/Σ can be 1,000-11,000 m3/m2h, and separating the first separated solution into a precipitate to be used for a raw material of copper refinement and a second separated solution, in the second centrifugation treatment; and subjecting the second separated solution to neutralization treatment and coagulation sedimentation treatment to separate the second separated solution into a precipitate to be used for the raw material of copper refinement and silica slag. A precipitate in which the grade of silica is relatively lower than that of lead is obtained by controlling centrifugal forces in the first centrifugation treatment and the second centrifugation treatment within predetermined ranges.
