EXTRUSION PRESS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an extrusion press capable of securely cutting off a discard from a boundary of a product without generating floating of rear end surfaces of a die unit and a die cassette and preventing the discard from being left at a cutting surface of a die when cutting off the discard from the product by a shear device. SOLUTION: A fixing device 40 is configured of the pushing-in device 50 of the die unit allowing the die unit 20 to be freely pushed-in from the front in an extruding direction and the pressing device 60 of the die unit making a die ring 23 and the die cassette 25 pressable in a direction crossing the extruding direction from the above. The fixing device of the die unit is arranged between the shear device 30 and an end platen 4, and the fixing metal fitting 61 of the pushing-in device of the die unit and the pressing metal fitting 52 of the die ring are arranged in the pressing device of the die unit. When the pressing device of the die unit presses the die ring and the die cassette so as to be fixed, the pushing-in device of the die is fixed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
