WEIGHT SELECTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weight selector capable of displaying an estimated ratio of the number of items to be measured according to respective weight ranks. SOLUTION: The weight selector measuring the weight of the items to be measured and sorting out the items to the corresponding weight ranks within a plurality of weight ranks defined by weight ranges partitioned by respective predetermined boundary values, includes a controlling device 16 calculating the standard deviation and the average value of the plurality of the items when the respective weights of the plurality of items are successively measured in a preceding stage of the regular operation of selecting the weight, forming a plurality of simulated weight values according to a normal distribution having a standard deviation and an average value, determining the weight ranks corresponding to the respective simulated weight values, and calculating the ratio of the number of the simulated weight values corresponding to the respective weight ranks to the total number of the simulated weight values, and an operation display device 15 displaying the ratio of the number of the simulated weight values corresponding to the respective ranks calculated by the controlling device 16.
