DEVICE FOR COOLING IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for cooling an image forming apparatus in which a large number of members are arranged compactly in a narrow space in an apparatus body and an environmental temperature in a waste toner conveying pipe and the apparatus can be maintained in a predetermined allowable temperature range. SOLUTION: The waste toner conveying pipe 31 is arranged in a position where waste toner T discharged from the cleaning devices of respective image forming units 11 to 14 is accepted and the top end of the waste toner conveying pipe is connected to a waste toner bottle 30. In the waste toner conveying pipe 31, a spiral rib is freely rotatably arranged and rotated by a drive source not shown in the figure, to convey the waste toner T to the waste toner bottle 30. A cooling pipe 32 is arranged in contact with the outside of the waste toner conveying pipe 31. A cooling liquid C is circulated by a pump 34 and cooled by a heat exchanger 33. The temperature of the waste toner conveying pipe 31 is monitored by a temperature sensor 36 and maintained in the predetermined allowable temperature range. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
