METHOD FOR OPERATING MACHINE FOR CONTINUOUSLY PRODUCING FILTER AND MACHINE FOR CONTINUOUSLY PRODUCING FILTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for operating a machine for continuously producing filters and a suitable machine for continuously producing the filters in the cigarette processing industry, wherein a continuous filter body can be produced in higher quality in the case when the defect of a filter material is as little as possible, particularly tow torsion may also be known as a defective part of a filter material tape. SOLUTION: The machine 1, 2 for continuously producing filters in the cigarette processing industry constituted so as to recognize defective parts of the filter material tape 4, 4' is provided. In the machine, at least one signal 39a, 39b is generated to be used so as to recognize the defective parts after elongating the filter material tape 4, 4' and before a coating device 12 by at least one sensor 39 and eliminate regions having at least the defective parts of the continuous filter body 24 by other processing. In the machine 1, 2 for continuously producing filters, the sensor 39 is installed to the part of an elongation device 3, 9 or in the downstream of the same and in the upstream of the coating device 12.
