DIGITAL BROADCAST RECEIVER, CONTROL METHOD THEREOF AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a processing load, while maintaining information perfectness, when re-multiplexing data broadcast after reception. SOLUTION: A digital broadcast receiver 100 receives digital broadcast, demultiplexes the digital broadcast into transport streams and then multiplexes them. When a load state of the device becomes high and there are a plurality of elementary streams of data broadcast to be transmitted, according to a carousel method in transport streams contained in the digital broadcast, data acquisition is limited by a filter 103 for partial elementary streams; and after the lapse of a predetermined time, for non-acquired elementary streams, data are acquired from retransmitted data according to the carousel method.
