Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information storage device capable of shortening a wiring period of time of system information into a storage medium while securing reliability regarding rewriting of the system information. SOLUTION: A MPU (Micro Processing Unit) 18 included in a magnetic disk 1 writes predetermined system information on an area for executing defect management on a magnetic disk 25. When a defect sector is detected in an area where the predetermined system information is written, the MPU 18 executes sector slip processing to allocate address information sequentially from a next sector of the defect sector without allocating any address information to the defective sector.
