Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation system which can learn unregistered roads more accurately, even when a vehicle has made a turn around. SOLUTION: The navigation system determines that the vehicle has not deviated from the road by threshold or more in turnaround of the vehicle (S106:NO), even if the turnaround of the vehicle was determined, based on its vehicular swept path (S100:YES), and it is determined to have run on an unregistered road (S102:YES). When link IDs, before and after turnaround of the vehicle, are determined as being a mismatch (S110:NO) and the difference in altitude of the road on which the vehicle has traveled during turnaround is determined as not having exceeded the threshold (S110:NO), the system prohibits registration of the unregistered roads data based on the vehicular swept path in map data memory (S116).
