INSPECTION SOCKET AND MANUFACTURING METHOD OF THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection socket for reducing the number of components, easily assembled, and surely implementing an electrical connection between a grounding contact probe and an inner wall of a penetration hole in a metal block, and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The inspection socket includes: a plurality of the penetration holes 11a for penetrating the metal block 11 in the thickness direction; and contact probes 12 disposed within the penetration holes 11a in the metal block 11, and including at least the grounding contact probe 12GND, and is fixed by a holding plate 13. The grounding contact probe 12GND is inserted into the penetration hole 11a. A sidewall of the penetration hole 11a includes a nonlinear discontinuous portion 11b in the axial direction. The grounding contact probe 12GND and the inner wall of the penetration hole 11a are formed so as to be directly and electrically connected in the vicinity of the discontinuous portion 11b at least.
