Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve fuel efficiency by compressive self-ignition combustion and the effect of reducing NOx. SOLUTION: A preceding injection (I1) for injecting a fuel at least before the middle of a compression stroke and subsequent injections (I2 or the like) for injecting the fuel at a predetermined timing overlapped with the combustion when a first compressive self-ignition combustion (J1) occurs near the compression top dead center due to the preceding injection are performed in a predetermined load zone (A2) set in a part of an HCCI zone A on the high load side where compression self-ignition combustion is performed by dividing the fuel injection from an injector 10 into multiple times.
