BROADCAST RECEIVER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcast receiver capable of receiving broadcast without impairing convenience for a user, and excelling in usability. SOLUTION: The broadcast receiver includes: reception parts 11, 12 for receiving broadcast waves of a wideband broadcast or narrowband broadcast; a storage part 24 for storing, as a last channel, a channel initially selected in starting a broadcast-viewing application (viewing application) out of channels related to broadcast waves received by the reception parts; and a control part 13 for performing control so that a channel selected immediately before the viewing application is ended is stored, as the last channel, in the storage part 24 when the viewing application is ended in the case in which broadcast waves of a broadband broadcast are received by the reception part, and the channel selected immediately before the viewing application is ended is not stored, as the last channel, in the storage part 24 when the viewing application is ended in the case in which broadcast waves of a narrowband broadcast is received by the reception part.
