ARTICLE RELATED INFORMATION PROVIDING METHOD, DEVICE, PROGRAM, AND RECORDING MEDIUM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for easily identifying articles without deleting the amount of information of articles to be placed on an information magazine, and for presenting related information which is not placed in the articles of an information magazine. SOLUTION: The article related information providing method includes: a step of imaging the articles on an information magazine including article numbers by an electronic camera; an article number image extraction step for clipping a rectangular region image from the photographic image, creating image attribute data of the rectangular region image, and extracting article number image data determined as the article number image by applying article number image determination data to the image attribute data; an article number recognition step for character-recognizing the extracted article number image to obtain the article number; a related article retrieval/transmission step for searching the article database based on the article number, reading the obtained article related data, and transmitting the obtained article related data to the portable terminal equipment; and a related article display step for displaying the article related data by the portable terminal equipment.
